Swimming Goggles

Whether you are swimming laps for leisure, training for a triathlon, or competing at the elite level, the right pair of goggles is the most critical piece of equipment in your bag. At SwimOutlet, we offer a curated selection of eyewear designed for every face shape and swim environment.

Competition & Racing Goggles: Engineered for speed, our competition goggles feature low-profile, hydrodynamic designs to minimize drag and ensure stability during dives and turns. These models sit closer to the eye socket for a watertight seal and wider peripheral vision. Most feature advanced anti-fog technology to keep your vision crisp during high-intensity sets.

Recreational & Fitness Goggles: If comfort is your priority, our fitness collection is for you. These goggles typically feature softer silicone gaskets and larger lenses to reduce pressure around the eyes. Perfect for lap swimming or water aerobics, they offer adjustable nose bridges and easy-adjust straps to ensure a headache-free experience.

Open Water & Outdoor Swimming: Swimming outside requires specific protection. Our outdoor range includes:

  • UV Protection: Standard in almost all our goggles to block harmful rays.

  • Polarized & Mirrored Lenses: Essential for cutting surface glare and reducing eye strain in bright sun.

  • Wide-View Lenses: Designed to help you spot sighting buoys and navigate open water with ease.

Optical & Prescription Goggles: Wear glasses? Don't swim blind. We offer a wide range of prescription swim goggles (step-diopter lenses) that allow you to see the pool clock—and your competition—with perfect clarity.

Customer-Tested & Approved: Not sure which pair is right for you? Our product pages feature reviews from fellow swimmers who have tested the fit, anti-fog longevity, and durability of every pair. Plus, enjoy free shipping on orders over $49.

FAQs

Which type of goggles are best for swimming? It depends entirely on your goals:

  • For Racing: Look for "low-profile" or "inner-eye" fit goggles (like the Speedo Vanquisher or TYR Tracer). These are streamlined for speed.

  • For Comfort/Training: Look for "outer-eye" fit or mask-style goggles (like the Aqua Sphere Kayenne). These rest on the orbital bone rather than the soft tissue, reducing raccoon eyes and increasing comfort.

How do I know if the goggles fit my face? (The Suction Test):

The best way to test a fit is the "Suction Test." Press the goggles against your eyes without putting the strap over your head. If the goggles stick to your face for a moment simply via suction, they are a good fit and will likely not leak. If they fall off immediately, the seal does not match your face shape.

Is a swimming mask better than goggles?

A swim mask sits on the cheekbones and forehead, offering the highest level of comfort and the widest field of view. They are excellent for open-water swimmers (to handle getting kicked in a pack) and recreational swimmers who dislike eye pressure. However, for pool racing, they create too much drag and are not recommended.
