Measure around the smallest part of the waist.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

My 3 year old son had tubes placed in his ear and this helps to prevent water from getting in. He doesn't even try to take it off.
