The sizing is right on from the size chart. If you are in between sizes like I am, pick the larger size. It will not be too big.
One unexpected surprise, and an original concern, is the way the waist band fits. The band/drawstring does not constrict or bunch up and create the muffin top effect with a dad bod. It lies smoothly around the torso/belly and helps hide the imperfection :)
