I use this with students who spread their feet wide to flutter kick and can't correct it simply by instruction... they just don't feel it. They don't have to use this long before they feel what they're doing and can self correct thereafter.

Easier said than done! as a new swimmer It was hard for me to keep my feet toguether. I had to sewed the elastic band to make it a little tighter so that it wouldn't come out of my feet but it DEFINETELY does the trick.

For most age groupers, this works well if placed above the knees and used for freestyle kicking (for a tighter kick) and in swimmers under age 13 for breastroke kicking (preventing overly wide knees). For men, the ankle elastic seems to work at the ankles for freestyle kicking. Over time, the elastic starts to fray at the edges.
