Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

These bottoms are nicely fitted. So there’s no coming up from a wave with your bottom out! There is a string in the inside that you can pull to get tighter. I do have to say, it is tighter around the waist and not the bum. Still a beautiful suit. I followed the size guide and was good.

I ordered these in a large assuming they would fit me based on the sizing chart. I usually wear a medium in swim bottoms. These bottoms are a joke they are SO small. Im giving them to my 10 yr old niece who they actually fit.
