Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

I usually swim in briefs and a drag suit for a little modesty and training benefit. But drag suits have fallen out of popularity for most training so I went with this square leg suit. Very happy with it for practice and I got it on sale so it was a great deal. Also in terms of modesty and comfort it is a nice middle ground between jammers and briefs.
