Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

Not sure what the ear "bubbles" do but this cap works! This swimmer uses molded ear plugs and this cap allows plenty of room for them.

Cap is fine. Doesn't squish my ears. BUT THE BLACK PICTURE IS MISLEADING. IT MAKES ONE THINK THE EAR PART EXTENDS OUT FARTHER. THE PICTURE OF THE BLUE CAP IS MORE REPRESENTATIVE OF ACTUAL CAP. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT A BLACK ONE IF IT WAS SAME AS THE BLUE ONE AND JUST GET 2 BLUE CAPS.
