Good for the purpose. Bonus points for versatility.
Used these inside close-toed sandals when wading in shallow reefs. Prevented chafing from the sandals which were new and not broken in. They did what I needed them to do, but they probably would not last as long as similar products made of neoprene. I had those too for use with fins, but the spandex socks could be used out of the water when walking in town (etc.), so they are probably more versatile.

I probably need new fins as mine are causing havoc with top of my feet..So thought I'd give these "socks" a go..
And might I say they are Great..and much less than new fins
