Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

My daughter loves her parka. It's cute and is very warm for after practice. She is nearly 6, but wears size 7-8 in clothes. This will fit her for a year, I hope!

I don’t know why all the kids swimming in cold pools don’t have one of these. My son is so much happier getting out of the pool after swim practice now that he has a toasty warm coat waiting for him. My son is 6, almost 4 foot tall and skinny. The XS fits him with room to grow.
