Measure around the smallest part of the waist.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased this replacement belt for a swim belt. I don't like the "New & Improved" design on currently available float belts. They are stretchy, which, on me anyways, means they fail to keep the belt in place and instead let it slip up and down while I'm doing post-surgery rehab in the pool. This belt DOES NOT STRETCH and keeps the belt in place.

It is great so far. The previous belt was quite weak, coming unfastened from time to time in water aerobics class. And then it just broke. This one seems quite strong and is staying fastened!
