This works for me. The floats at the facilities are just too large for my waist so I bring my own.

I tried the belts at the YMCA for their deep water classes and the straps were so stretched out from use that they practically floated up to my neck so I ordered this one. It fit perfect and stayed around my waist right where it was supposed to be.

Bought this for my 10 yo daughter last year. She's a good swimmer, but at the lake this gives me peace of mind and it's not cumbersome for her like a life vest. Also last year, I had a heart palpation episode while swimming so I ordered the adult version for me this year. It was very big and bulky, so I returned it (so easy with Happy Returns!) and ordered another one of these instead.
