I've now tried Tyr, Speedo Endurance, and Sporti brands and this Speedo Lunar Storm. The Lunar Storm is by far the best construction, feel and fit. I like a suit which has minimal lining and most jammers are fully lined including legs which i do not like. Too much fabric, particularly w/a jammer. When they eventually stretch, and all do, the 2 plys can separate with the outer fabric hanging down around knee.
The Lunar Storm is only lined with a minimal front groin panel and rear butt liner panel. No liner in hip area or legs. This makes for a much lighter weight suit, better feel and fit while swimming.
At 5'-10", 175lb, wearing 34" waist jeans I tried both a size 38 and 36 in the Lunar Storm. Both work but the 36 is the best overall fit as the thigh and legs wholes on the size 38 were a bit sloppy and not as nicely fitted as size 36. I'll use both.
As a swimmer who grew up wearing Speedos of 100% nylon w/ only a single front liner panel (which they no longer make), the length of the typical jammer, the fabric type and fully lined designs feel to me like way too much unnecessary heavy fabric on this swimmers body. The Speedo Lunar Jammer's minimalist design is a welcome design that I will continue to come back to.
