HYDRO-FIT® Classic Mini Cuffs Water Weights

This was my 2nd pair of water resistance bands. The first ones were a C-shaped foam design with a strap that could not be adjusted. They kept riding up and would often slip off the end of my foot when kicking in the water. These are great! They are adjustable, so you get a great fit, the design does not make it awkward to walk or move around in the pool. The bands did not come off when I kicked or free-floated using a water flotation belt. I would definitely recommend this product.

I use the smaller weights because I have a bum knee and these are perfect for strengthening. I use the larger ones, but not in the pool. For me they work better when swimming in a lake.

I started supplementing my lap swims with a deep water aerobics class. I like the mini-cuffs because they don't get in the way, causing you to shift your knee placement. I'm lower in the water, but that's ok with me. The only issue I had was that the buckle tends to slip just a little; not enough to be loose, but it chafed my ankles a bit. The solution was easy. I wear a pair of socks with them and it's perfect.

clip around ankles for a better push and building leg muscles. Very comfortable, no shifting or uncomfortable rubbing on ankles. Resistance is GREAT for senior citizens with arthritis.
