THIS IS A REVIEW OF SWIMOUTLET's 30-DAY RETURN POLICY, NOT the Cressi Supernova Dry Snorkel, which I did not have a chance to try. (Since I've been forced to give the snorkel a rating to publish this review, I've blindly given it a 5/5.) I purchased this snorkel in advance of a trip, far enough in advance so I wouldn't worry that it wouldn't get here in time. I thought I had a mask and fins I could still use to complete the set. When I got the mask and fins out again to pack for the trip, I found that the plastic had degraded such that I couldn't use them. I needed to buy a new set and fast. I was able to get the set but I was too late to return this snorkel.
I understand that businesses like Swim Outlet need policies to manage their inventory in a timely way and accurately track sales in real time. However, I have found that Swim Outlet's restrictive 30-day return policy, particularly for things that may have been purchased as gifts, for a specific occasion, or as equipment that sells year-round to be frustratingly restrictive. I have been a Swim Outlet customer (and member) for nearly 10 years. They provide a marketplace I appreciate and use frequently. I wish they had more flexibility in their return policy. Even extending their window to 45- or 60-days would help allow for many of the problems I've encountered over the years without a significant negative impact to their business. Please consider the needs of your members and review your policy. Thank you.
