The bar is not long enough and the foam resistance is for the very young or very old...one size does not fit all users. I am a reasonably fit older man, 57, who spends 1-2 hours a day in a pool doing resistence exercise. The foam resistence is minimal; the bar length is too narrow. 40 to 48 inches would be better and offer greater flexibility for the various classes of users. Most important of all the foam resistance pads should be interchangeble so that you might increase or decrease the level of resistance with fewer or more foam pads.
