So let me start by saying that I have been pretty much a lifelong TYR tech suit wearer. My junior year of high school I started wearing TYR and never went back. Eventually I realized I needed to be wearing 26s instead of 28s (for better compression), and ultimately I went through 3 TYR B-Series size 26s suits for my last few years of collegiate competition. I am now a few years out of college and recently signed up to compete in a masters meet. I thought it would be fun to get a new suit and this one looked pretty awesome, and had a much lower cost than some other suits. Unfortunately, TYR really let me down here. As I said above, I have worn TYR size 26s for years, but I was able to get this size 26 Thresher fully on in about 30 seconds. That should have been my first clue something was off. After putting it on at my meet, I hopped in to warm-up, did a 50 and immediately knew the suit was too big! Not only was the compression not all that good, it caught a ton of water in the back. Fortunately, I had brought one of my old Tracer B-Series suits with me and quickly switched into that. As it always had in the past, that same size 26 B-Series suit fit perfectly! I love TYR suits, but I think they need re-evaluate or post a warning about the sizing on this suit. I think maybe I could have worn a 24 - but as I said before, I''ve ALWAYS been a TYR size 26 and buying this suit in that size was a complete disaster.
