30L is big enough, without being overly cumbersome, to hold all of my swim gear and personal items. Love the variety of zippered pockets and the fact that the top folds toward the front of the bag so that when the bag is hanging on a locker room hook, I can easily access my items without the fold falling back over the top and obstructing access. Really happy with this backpack!
