I usually use disposable contacts but thought if I’m just doing a pool workout, it’s expensive and wasteful. I bought the mirror and these ones in a -4.0 which is the same as my contact lens prescription. Worked well. The only thing was the strap was threaded incorrectly on one of them and I had to fix prior to use. If you never used Speedo goggle before, that may have thrown people off.

I got these because I couldn’t see the whiteboard with the sets that the coach wrote out. The prescription isn’t exactly perfect, but I’m able to see the board, not to mention being able to recognize my fellow swimmers! I should’ve gotten these when I started swimming. One of the best swim purchases I’ve made.

The optical Vanquisher 3.0 retains the excellent gaskets and shape of the 2.0, with a surprisingly effective upgrade to a wider strap and peripheral vision. The strap is very comfortable when I wear my goggles without a swim cap. Surprisingly so, much less hair pulling. The upgraded design supporting being able to see to the side is nice. I previously didn’t realize how limited my field of vision was with my other goggles, now I can look back out of the corner of my eye to see the pace clock while talking a breath. It’s been really nice. I’ve had my previous Vanquishers for over 5 years, so I’m excited to see how these new goggles age.

Eye cups are a little uncomfortable. I definitely prefer the prescription TYR goggles over the Speedo but they no longer sell them.

With 2.0, one could buy two pairs with different strengths and reassemble them into complete pairs with the correct strength for each eye. The nose bridge for the 3.0 only attaches in one direction, so you are left with one correct pair and a useless pair where the bridge is upside down.
What a waste of money!
