This suit has amazing compression and makes you look like a rockstar once on...you def stand out on deck! My daughter swam her 100 Free, 50 Free and 100 Fly in it. She was able to finally get back to her Sectional times for her Frees during Club season, and even PR'd in her 50 Free!! However, her hips did not have the range of motion needed for her Fly in that she couldn't get them out of the water and plowed the entire distance, adding time...it wasn't a lot, but enough to not wear it the following day when she had to swim her IM. As for Freestyle, it kept her straight and that really allowed her to speed thru the water. I think this would be equally beneficial for the Backstroke, but unsure about the Breast until she tests it during a practice run. Because my kid is primarily a Freestylist (sprint & distance), this suit is a win for us, but will only be worn on race days where the Fly is not involved. For reference my kid has an athletic build with broad shoulders and her measurements are 33.5"B, 27"W, 36.3"H and she ordered sz 22. Getting the shoulder straps up over hips/butt was a challenge, once over it was smooth sailing until getting her arms thru the arm holes...she couldn't chicken arm her way in, but rather had to extend and go fingers first...the last arm was tough but do-able. Stay focused on the end goal, don't be afraid to laugh along the way and you'll get it on just fine.
