I bought these to help me develop my butterfly stroke. The medium is a good fit for my size 9 women's feet (no slippage). I was encouraged by other swimmers to get top-of-the-line DMC fins, but they are expensive. The TYR fins seem to have similar features (I did some homework on this) and, particularly on sale, are affordable. I've used them once and was happy with their performance.

These are small enough to carry around easily in my bag, but they generate excellent force when kicking. They are very fun during HIT sprints -- I feel like a really fast swimmer (which I'm not). Anything that makes a 50-minute swim fun is worth every penny.
