Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

I was tentative about buying these, given that they are much less-expensive than the top-name brands...so I was worried about the quality. However, numerous reviewers noted that they are cut higher on the leg than most other jammers...and being a short guy who lately has trouble finding jammers that don't go onto my knees, I thought I'd give them a try. For me (I'm 5'6"), the fit was perfect. Additionally, the PBT material is very lightweight---and dries fast. It is similar to the Nike Hydrofast material, or the jammers by Finis. Because of it's lightweight nature, though, I'm not sure if the compression is enough for some guys...although you might try going down a size for a tighter fit. For me, though, I like the fit as it is. It just feels good. I was impressed...so I ordered a few more. Not sure of their staying power...but we'll see over the next few months...

Love this jammer. The material is very comfortable, with tight compression (but not too tight). The legs stay in place without leg grippers so much faster to put on and take off too.

The fit was perfect. My son likes them feeling tight and like a 2nd skin. They are great quality fabric and good stretch. Very easy to hand wash. My son has really enjoyed these jammers. He glides through the water. I recommend these to any competitive swimmer.
