Swimming Goggles
Shop swim goggles and swimming goggles from Sporti, TYR, Arena, Speedo, FINIS, and Nike in mirrored, polarized, clear, and prescription lenses. Over 290 styles for racing, training, lap swimming, and open water, in adult, women's, and kids' fits.
Swim goggles and swimming goggles seal out chlorine and salt water so you can track the wall, the lane line, or another swimmer. The right pair comes down to four specs working together: gasket shape, lens tint, fit profile, and seal type. Each maps to a live filter on the left rail of this page, so 290+ styles narrow to a shortlist in under a minute.
Goggle Types for Racing, Training, and Open Water
-
Competition Goggles: Low-profile gaskets that seal tight against the eye socket for minimum drag and quick turns. The standard pick for sprint racing. See competition swim goggles.
-
Training and Recreational Goggles: Wider, softer gaskets for long pool sessions where comfort matters more than the fastest seal. Built for 4+ swim sessions per week. The right pick for masters, fitness, and lap swimming.
-
Open Water Goggles: Larger lenses with a curved field of view to spot buoys and other swimmers from a distance. Used for triathlon, ocean swims, and lake training. See open water swim goggles.
-
Swedish Goggles: Minimalist split-eye goggles you assemble yourself with cord straps. Used by sprinters and traditionalists who want the smallest possible profile.
Lens Types for Indoor Pools, Outdoor Pools, and Open Water
-
Clear Lenses: The best pick for indoor pools and low-light open water swimming. Maximum visibility, minimum distortion.
-
Smoked and Tinted Lenses: Cut bright pool lights and surface glare for outdoor lap swimming. Versatile for both indoor and outdoor use.
-
Mirrored Lenses: Reflect the most light, the strongest pick for sunny outdoor pools and triathlon swims. Sporti, Speedo, TYR, and Arena dominate this category.
-
Polarized Lenses: Cut horizontal glare from waves and water surface, making them the strongest pick for open water training and racing in full sun.
Goggles for Adults, Women, and Kids
Adult swimming goggles fit most teenage and adult faces with adjustable nose bridges and split straps. Women's swim goggles use a narrower frame and softer gasket for smaller face shapes. Kids' swim goggles use a softer silicone gasket and a single-strap design that small hands can adjust without help. Junior racing frames come in smaller sizes for ages 6 and up, and shatter-resistant lenses are standard for the youngest swimmers. Bright color options also make goggles easier to spot in a busy pool.
Prescription and Specialty Goggles
Swimmers who need vision correction can match standard racing frames with diopter lenses in 1.5 to 8.0 strengths. See prescription swim goggles for the full range, including positive and negative diopters and optical inserts. Photochromic lenses that darken in sunlight are available for swimmers who train across indoor and outdoor pools without changing pairs.
Fit, Fog Prevention, and Care
A good seal starts with the right gasket. Press goggles to the eye socket without the strap; they should stick for a couple of seconds before falling off. To prevent fogging, rinse new goggles in fresh water before the first swim, then keep a thin film of anti-fog solution or a drop of baby shampoo on the inside of the lens. Rinse with fresh water after every swim and store in a hard case to protect the lens coating. A well-cared-for pair lasts 12 to 18 months of daily training; the anti-fog coating typically wears off after 6 to 9 months and can be reapplied. For replacement straps, anti-fog spray, and gasket kits, see swim goggle accessories.
