SwimOutlet.com Signs Gold Medalist Mark Gangloff to Unique Marketing Deal
SwimOutlet.com, the web's most popular aquatics shop, and two-time Olympic gold medalist Mark Gangloff have agreed to a partnership that will see Gangloff endorsing the SwimOutlet.com brand.
The partnership is unique among Olympic athletes because Gangloff will be able to choose from a broad variety of high-performance swimming brands, training gear, and product in its inventory for his competitive purposes. These brands include Arena, Finis, Nike, Speedo, TYR, and many more.
"While most elite athletes are locked into wearing one brand or using one company for their technical equipment, we are partnering with Mark on a totally unique concept," said Alexander Sienkiewicz, CMO at SwimOutlet.com. "We are enabling him to use and compete in any brand he chooses for his performance needs. The 29-year-old Gangloff is from Buffalo, NY and now resides in Auburn, Alabama where he trains with Auburn University Head Swim Coach Brett Hawke. Gangloff earned a gold medal in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics as part of the 4x100m medley relay team. He also placed 8th in the 100m breaststroke at the 2008 Games.
SwimOutlet.com's partnership with Gangloff includes marketing materials in featuring SwimOutlet.com and a variety of other branded gear; he will also occasionally appear on SwimOutlet.com's website. He'll also provide testing reviews on some of the products he wears. More star swimmers may be signed to similar deals by SwimOutlet.com in the future, thereby offering them broad swim product options.
