Although both say 3mm, this mat is thinner than the Tapas original mat.

Great mat for Yoga. It has lasted me 5 years so far and looks brand new. I use it atleast 3 times a week.

The mat is gorgeous. I used it at my yoga class today. It's thin enough for me, sticky enough for stability, and the colors are vibrant.

Pros: The mat is beautiful and I like that it is fashioned from environmentally conscious materials. It's great for a light yoga practice. Cons: I expected the padding to be a bit thicker and it isn't good for warm or hot yoga. Far too slippery.
