This is a typical TYR Diamond fit lap suit, but with a little more styling and some light lining in the chest area to help elevate it to something a bit nicer than a lap suit. I'm a slim 60-something (5' 7", 120 pounds) and was having trouble finding a nice suit for the beach or outdoor water sports that had good coverage but that wasn't also matronly or with too thick fabric. This suit is snug and if you aren't used to TYR Diamond fit, you might think it isn't going to fit when first trying on (or you might prefer something looser), but this suit works well for me. This is the same style I like for lap swimming, but this fabric pattern and contrasting straps help elevate this to pretty beach wear. The leg/hip cut is not too high or too low, and I like that there is full coverage on the backside, as well as a little higher cut above the chest, so I can be active without worries of falling out anywhere. There is a cutout at the back (per the pictures) that I think is flattering as well. I have a long torso and these suits fit well for me, but you do have to size up considerably from what a normal 'clothes' size would be--I normally wear a size four in clothes but wear a 10 in TYR swim suits. However, sizing up is pretty standard for swimsuits IMO. Maybe someone my same size that didn't have a long torso could get away with an 8. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would happily buy another suit like this if it was offered in a different pattern.
