Sporti Swim Parachute

I have mixed feelings about the Sporti Parachute that arrived last week. The positives are that it does seem to work as intended, it dries well, and it compacts nicely into a plastic case [not included] that is easy to include in my swim bag/backpack.I have used the parachute 3-4 times, each for 200 yards or less. I am bothered by the belt, which clicks with a fastener but is adjusted by tightening the belt strap. Said strap needs to be tied to keep the entire device from sliding off, and the extra length of the strap can be bothersome. The strap for the chute itself is probably somewhat longer than I need, which sinks the chute and messes up my kicking. I plan to try to shorten it when I swim this morning.If I decide not to keep it or perhaps exchange it for another brand, I have two questions: 1. Can I still return it? 2. Is there a deadline for doing so? I realize this is more than you expected, but perhaps it is helpful.
