I have never used swim paddles before so these are new to me. So far they have been easy to use. I was expecting a little more resistance but I have nothing to compare to. They seem like they will hold up well over time and were pretty self explanatory to put on and use in my workouts.

Moved down to from a large paddle to these small hand size… feel great in my hands, but maybe a little more wear on my wrist if my hand position in off any… Overall great product.. just be careful and clean with your stroke
