This product does not work with any mp3 player other than specific models from H2O Audio. This is not prominently disclosed. I plugged it into my waterproofed iPod this morning and got audio out of one side only, and that audio was worse than the sound I got out of old headphones that also only work on one side. This is my second H2O Audio product in a row that does not work and I am done with this brand.

Well, in general, out of the water works very well. In the pool, not so much. Depending on the style you swim, if you have to get your head in and out of the water, there's a significant difference in the sound, making it very uncomfortable to hear the music.

I purchased this item for lap swimming. My experience was that it did not provide sound continuously. When I turned my head to breath or during the breast stroke, no sound when my head was out of the water.
