This is a great whistle that can get -very- loud. It is very effective in getting -everyone's- attention that is within a quarter of a mile. I used this whistle while at work on a daily basis, while on a 10-hour shift, during traffic control to maintain safety and awareness of both, driver's and pedestrian's. Occasionally, when it was necessary to use, a small blast of air will definitely get a pedestrians attention, and a driver if they have their window/s down. If you need to get a driver's attention with their windows up, during your attempt to make eye contact with the driver, a long hard blast of air will definitely get their attention.
