I love these shorts. I'm new to the world of triathlons but I'm loving it. I'm 5'4" 145lbs. and 39. I've had 4 kids so I have some mom curves. I love the high waist. Not tight in the thigh or waist. Feels like it holds you together everywhere you need it too. I have trained and completed two triathlons in them this so far. They dry quickly and they only ride up maybe an inch in the thighs, (I did expect some so not a big deal) they don't have any padding in the butt, it's more of a lining, but you don't want a lot of padding while wet ridding a bike and running, so for that reason what it does have is great. They were even comfortable under a wetsuit.

3 Review Stars By Diana M.

As reviewers above, I found these run small and sit low around the waist, so they pinch skin out and are not flattering. I'm 5'7", 121 lbs with a 26" waist and usually wear a small, but the S just didn't work and I returned them. If you can make the fit work for you, the price is pretty good for the quality of material and the pattern on the band is cute.

3 Review Stars By D. Rhodes,

I purchased the 8" and 6" and returned both because they ran a bit small for my liking and have a short rise and no drawstring, which I wasn't a fan of either.  They do have a nice wide waistband and if you don't mind a short that sits low on the wait and doesn't have a drawstring, these may be just the short for you.  I'm almost always a small in a tri short with the exception of TYR.  At 5'5" and an athletic 130 lbs (narrow hips, muscular thighs) I'd try a medium in these if I had liked the fit and would have been more inclined to go with the 8" instead of the 6".

I always size up with my tri stuff. These run just a bit smaller than others but not horrible. Love the bright fun colors.

Zoot Sports™ was founded in Kona, Hawaii: the home of the Triathlon World Championships. Chrystal Nylin, a Hawaiian native, recognized the need for a cross-functional suit for athletes competing in triathlons. As a solution to having to use transition as "changing areas," she sought to find product solutions for multisport athletes.

Nylin began sewing pads into run shorts, experimenting with swim fabrics, and attaching run singlets to bike shorts to eventually create the Zoot one and two-piece racesuits for triathletes competing in Ironman.

In 1996, Zoot Hawaii moved to the mainland and expanded the product line. It has now grown to be a global premier endurance sports brand, distributed across 22 countries and has introduced the first Triathlon-Specific Footwear Line. Zoot continues to draw on its history in the sport and its athletes to deliver the most comprehensive, technologically-advanced and complete multisport product line in the world.
