I bought this TYR suit for water exercise. I am middle-aged mom, 5'5", 200lbs, size c/d cup and I do water aerobics 4 times a week and weight training twice a week. I am an apple shape with broad shoulders and lots of muscle/athletic build. I usual wear a Waterpro swim suit size 18 (not Plus sized) which fits perfectly, but it's worn out after 2 years. This suit was meant to be a replacement. In clothes, I wear size 16. CONS: I bought this suit in size 18 W. It was far too tight around my abdomen and too loose in upper body. The bottom coverage was moderate and the fabric had little stretch, so I could see wedgies in my future. The shoulder straps were set too wide for me, which is astonishing because I have such broad shoulders. I felt the straps would slip off my shoulders and that would be unfortunate given the scoop neck. The "control fit" panel of the abdomen felt like it was restricting my breathing - putting it on felt like pulling on control top pantyhose. Basically, the cut and fit didn't work at all for my body. Lesson learned: From now on, I will avoid control fit, scoop necks and moderate bottom coverage because when I exercise in the water, I really exercise hard. My suit needs to stay with me, cover my bits and not restrict my breathing. PROS: the colors of blue were lovely. This suit may work for someone who isn't an apple shape and has broad square shoulders. I returned it.
