  • 6/14/2021 Nice fins

They are comfortable and fun to use. I am usually a women’s 9 or 9 1/2 and I went down to size, which was a good choice.

I love these fins. They're the first short pair I've owned, and I love the fit and feel they are true to size. Highly recommend.

Well made/good quality. Size ran a little small for me. I wear a 8.5 women's and ordered a medium. Large would have been suitable too.

Silicone is much more comfortable than stiff rubber. A bit wide for my foot and higher in back than my previous Speedo fins so it tends to rub my heel- no blister yet.

The swim fins (TYR silicone) did not meet my expectaions.  The size guide indicated that the small size (TYR silicone fins) should fit women size 5-7.5.  I wear size 6 and I couldn't squeeze in a quarter of my foot into the fin.  I was unable to find any return ticket in the packaging and I am not a sauvy online shopper so I guess I will have to donate the fins to a swimming program.

  • 11/11/2020 Ultra Comfy Trainer Fin

5 Review Stars By John M

I finally broke down and bought some fins. These are great, the silicon material is super comfy, and I find they add a nice push without being ridiculous like ocean fins. Definitely prefer the full foot cup version like this to a heel-strap only type of fin, I think this is much more comfortable. Surprisingly to me, I think they''ve encouraged a higher-beat kick to persist even after I take the fins off.

  • 4/11/2021 Excellent fin, great fit

    5 Review Stars By Hal

These fins fit my feet very well. I do not have issues with them slipping around on my feet as I swim. I like the shorter length as I feel it is easier to turn in the pool with them. I don't do flip turns as I'm not that good. They are denser than water so they do not float. To me this is an advantage as I start in the shallow end of the pool. I drop them in the water and let them sink. Slide my foot is as far as I can and them in lift my leg and reach down and pull them over my heel.

My laps times immediately improved using these. I can now feel my legs better in the water so I feel these are training a better kicking motion through muscle memory and grooving the form into my rhythm.

I am a recreational fitness swimmer and I just restarted swimming last summer when they opened the pool but not the gym at the local YMCA. Many years ago I did a triathlon but back in the dark ages when I trained it was unusual to see people training with fins and hand pulls. I had a disappointing swim last fall and watched some of the 'pros' swimming laps and realized they were using a combination of hand paddles, fins, and pull buoys. I watched them some more to see how these are utilized and now that I've tried these I love them.

My biggest problems with swimming are form in the stroke. These are helping feel my legs in the water and work out how best to kick to aid propulsion.

So overall I love these fins. I really don't have any cons per se.

I have a toe defect that makes fins very uncomfortable.  This is the first pair I found that works for me.
