  • 2/7/2017 Too much skin for me to feel comfortable in this suit

2 Review Stars By Brandon F.

This suit is fine to swim in, but I'm very self-conscious in it when I'm around the pool. It's too revealing, and not in a flattering way, but in a way that makes me uncomfortable. It's very, very open in the back and sides, and tends to ride low in the chest, especially after a swim. It gives you that look of back fat even if you don't have much!

For what it's worth, I'm totally comfortable with being in a bikini on the beach, so it's not really a question of my own personal modesty.

    I'm 5'2', 118 pounds, 34B, ordered size 34.

I swim every day and have worn this suit on a weekly basis for 6 months.

It fits the way it should, it's just that the styling is too low-profile for me.

This suit is hard to find at any retail stores and is way less expensive. Fits perfectly, stays in place during workouts and looks great!

  • 3/5/2013 Way too small

1 Review Stars By Jamie V.

The suit is really small, and not at all true to the sizing chart of most TYR suits. I reordered and purchased the Crossfit Elite...same open back, but way better fit!

  • 9/6/2016 Trust the reviews

5 Review Stars By BETH L.

I was measured for my swim team as a sz28. We all know that diff brands can vary in size and even the sizes can vary within one brand. I listened to the reviews and ordered up a sz to a 30.

When putting it on for the first time, i thought "uh oh this isn't going to fit". It felt tight and possibly the straps wernt going to be long enough but nope, i got it on and it fits. Maybe a tad small as i could use a little more fabric in the butt area and the length could be a tad longer.

I do like it and feel comfortable in it.  Deffinately sz up for this suit.

    For reference im 5'7, 130#, sz3.

  • 10/8/2012 She loves it. Feels it will serve her well.

    5 Review Stars By l.mcleod

Uses it to swim EVERY day

Says the material should last a long time with what it is put through each and every day.

Can't find anything not great about it.  She loves it

  • 7/23/2016 a little smal but great suit

    4 Review Stars By Ally

generally, I wear a size 34 in tyr suits, at least for practice, however, this suit seemed to run a little smaller than other suits from this brand I've tried. it's tolerable, just a little bit uncomfortable at first, but the straps stretch out a bit (not too much) overtime. it also feels like it's cut higher on the leg than my tyr crosscutfits and it most definitely shows my terrible tan lines, but if you like a higher cut, this is a great suit. it looks nice once it is on and it stays in place when I am swimming laps or teaching swim lessons or doing some intense training as a lifeguard. I definitely recommend it, but unless you like your suits tight, consider sizing up one!

  • 5/12/2016 Suit was not good

    2 Review Stars By Kayla

This suit fits really well in the beginning, but after wearing it everyday for about a month or so it got really baggy. It fit at first but after a while, it became all loose and it sagged a lot. I would recommend you to buy it only if you use it only a couple time, but if you swim competitively like me, you should not buy it. At first, this suit felt like it was too low on the chest area and it also was too low below the back area. When I did a flip turn, I felt like water could go in.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
