  • 3/5/2013 Way too small

    rating star By Jamie V.

The suit is really small, and not at all true to the sizing chart of most TYR suits. I reordered and purchased the Crossfit Elite...same open back, but way better fit!

Have used this suit in the past, but the sizing is way off. Usually wearing a 34, but this time the 34 and 36 were way too small.

  • 10/8/2012 She loves it. Feels it will serve her well.

    rating star By l.mcleod

Uses it to swim EVERY day

Says the material should last a long time with what it is put through each and every day.

Can't find anything not great about it.  She loves it

  • 2/21/2015 Order up!

    rating star By J. L.

Looks like a great suit, however as other reciew have said sizing is WAY off.  I ordered a 28 for my 6 ft 125 lb daughter and it arrived looking like a little baby suit.  She usually races in a 26 but after reading reviews bumped her up to 28.  We are now reordering a 32, disappointed we were billed for return shipping as this seems a consistent problem with the suit.  Hoping the 32 will do the trick!

  • 2/10/2015 Great suit and flattering

    rating star By Kelly K.

I always think it is helpful when women provide their measurements along with the size they got, so for reference, I am 5'8 and 128lbs, with not a lot going on in the chest area (A cups).  I ordered a size 30, and while it certainly is snug, it felt great in the water.  My rear end does hang out more than your average suit, but I expected that and don't mind the cut as I think it is flattering.  I love the open back for when the bubble comes off the pool to minimize tan lines.  I certainly think it may run a little small and would have been ok in a 32.

  • 11/9/2014 Runs small

    rating star By Grace

It would have been a good suit if I would have gotten a size bigger. I'm usually a size 26 in racing but it felt 1 or 2 sizes to small. Also was really narrowly cut and was a bit skimpy.

  • 7/20/2014 TYR Durafast solid thin-x Fit

    rating star By M. Johnson

This is just what I was looking for. A sober, black suit for conditioning. The suit is as lightweight as possible, and stays put even getting through the white water past the breakers at the beach.

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
