  • 7/27/2020 Great set - good quality

5 Review Stars By Tres Perros Ranch

I'm a 190-pound man and the belt floats me with the perfect buoyancy. The shape of the dumbbell allows for two different resistance levels versus just the round dumbbells that are out there. Grape set I would buy again on sale. The price is a little expensive but it is a better set I think. Should include some sort of pre-planned workout. My wife also has been using it and likes it.

  • 3/21/2019 Great for Water Aerobics

    5 Review Stars By ww65barb

Love these items.  The gloves and belt fit well and are a
useful addition to my deep water aerobics class. The belt is quite adjustable and the form inserts can be moved to accommodate any body shape.  Only drawback
for me, I sometimes use the barbells under my arms instead of the belt for upport. the width of these between the end supports do not allow for this use, however they still provide good resistance.  I also really like their shape, since they are not round the wind cant blow them away from the side of the pool.  Am happy with the whole set.

Love the water gloves.  Really increase workout for arms.  Dumbbell are a little too lightweight but function.

  • 8/11/2015 They work

    3 Review Stars By Brenda

I like the adjustable belt and the gloves work ok but the "weights" are just too light! I barely get anything from them as far as resistance. I use them in our local YMCA and bought them for water aerobics.  For the price I guess they are good enough.

  • 9/15/2013 Excellent addition to my workout

    4 Review Stars By Leigh

Major abdominal surgery left me with little core strength and very poor stamina.  Treadmill and free weights were just too hard.  Once I adjusted to using the water weights, I was able to complete my upper body routine.  It feels deceptively easy...until you get out of the water.  That's when you know you've just worked every muscle!
The flotation belt makes it possible for me to handle 20 minutes of "jogging" as well as lower body resistance exercises.

About This Brand

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
