The "S" is equivalent to a size 32 waist. The "XS" is the same size as the "10Y" suit, which is equivalent to a size 30 waist. The Turbo size chart can be a little confusing if it's your first time buying this brand of water polo brief. The suit sits rather low on the hips, and it's a snug fitting brief, which is preferred by water polo players. Most guys usually "size-up" about one size larger than the size that they would wear in a Speedo Brand swim brief. I would not go larger than one size up because it would probably fit too big and wouldn't be appropriate for water polo. All that being said, I think this suit is the best water polo brief I've ever had, it's very well made, comfortable, sturdy, long-lasting, fade-resistent, excellent sun protection, provides really good support, and it's also a very nice looking suit. It's the most popular brand worn in my school among the guys on my team. It's an excellent value, and I give it a five star rating.
