Finesse at its best! The Total Immersion Fistglove Stroke Trainer teaches your hands to push through the water efficiently, instead of using brute force.
If the gloves are waterproof, then they will protect your natural nails.

Good training tool
Yes, you can just hold your fist closed...but will you? Probably not, especially when your training mates are passing you or you just get frustrated or "just this one stroke..." The gloves are very lightweight latex and will tear easily unless directions are followed for putting them on. I have used these with my high school team and they work very well and will last a season with care. I will have to admit it is also entertaining to watch them try to use their water bottle with the gloves on. I have tried having the kids hold things like a tennis ball instead of buying the gloves, and they always "cheat". One boy had hands so big I had to give him three tennis balls, at which point the usefulness was gone. My strong recommendation is to use them, and buy them here. More expensive than buying direct from "un-named" but anything is worth having to deal with their atrocious excuse for customer service. A word to the prepared: when "un-named" sweetly says they will ship tomorrow...they won't. Even a week or two later they may not have left. Let Swim Outlet deal with them. If you absolutely have to...order for next season so you will have them, if they have not deteriorated beyond use while sitting in storage.Summary: great training tool, will last a season with good care, get them here.

Girls gloves blew out because of fingernails.
I love the idea of taking away the feeling in their hands as well as teaching them to pull with their whole blade not dropping their elbows. They did not cheat. That was great. I am returning all of the gloves. Kids need something more durable. Such a great idea. Too bad the girls blew out one pair on their first use because of their long fingernails. Going to search for silicone.
Fit: Feels true to size
Don’t buy it!
Doesn’t fit right. Impossible to put on so the thumb is in place. Looks like a balloon. A waste of money!
Fit: Feels too small
forces good form... n saves shoulders
latex can be an issue.forces you to swim smarter. finesse.. use forearm...price seems high...but things are relative.when is the the last time you saw anything medical that was not overpriced... and I consider this a rehabilitation/efficient form training tool. as well as a shoulder rehab/injury prevention tool.. proper form and reduced resistance ease load on shoulder.
Not worth buying
These were recommended to me by a swimming instructor. However, they are cheap and flimsy- they are basically big baloons. And you don't need them- just make a fist in the water for the same effect. The purpose is to get you to pull with your forearm as well as your hand. Don't need a device for that.
These are alot of fun, and really let you feel the stroke in the forearmThese are a great tool to use in drills.
