The length of the shorts are great and they fit great. Most of the boardshorts I get never fit right, but this one does.

The shorts are just not as the picture. They are wide legged made of stiff water repellent fabric. I don't know how comfortable they could be out of the water. Not recommended. Try Northface. A little more money but definitely worth it!
