Measure around the smallest part of the waist.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

Seems to run a little wide...have an 8.5 foot so 9 is big with the width and the 8 is a little tight in length...still a bit wide for me...but ok overall.
