Labeled as the most comfortable fin on the market, the Speedo Nemesis Fins feature ergonomic foot pockets and floating properties to elevate the hips and feet into an improved streamlined body position.

    Features

    • Awarded Gear of the Show at Summer Outdoor Retailer 2014.
    • Arch support: For unparalleled comfort.
    • More toe space to prevent pinching and cramping.
    • Security at the heel joint.
    • Graduated instep for excellent fitting across the mid-foot.
    • Tubercles: Scalloped outer edges creates greater surface area for water to pass over, allowing the swimmer to push more water during kicking drills and training sets.
    • Blow Valves: Medial edge openings create a valve effect, in which water is captured on the underside and forced through the smaller opening. More resistance is created on the down-kick.
    • Flow Channels: Channels at the top and bottom of the fins help guide water in the proper direction which helps rotate the foot into the correct orientation for maximum kick efficiency.
    • Injection Molded EVA (IMEVA) Foam: IMEVA fins are naturally buoyant, aiding the swimmer with an elevated body position, keeping hips and feet in a more streamline position.
    • Heel Straps: Unique under-heel strap provides extra stability.
    • Integrated Grab Hole: Incorporated finger hole on top of fin for ease of getting the fin on the foot.
    • Please Note: Sizing correlates with shoe size in the drop down menu.

  • 12/1/2015 Best most natural feel!

5 Review Stars By Back and shoulder issues

I've got a closet of fins - and this is by far the best fin I've ever used. It feels more like your natural foot - but obviously a lot better! It's like a extension of your foot.  I have narrow feet so I always wear fin socks - arena half sock booties - and they feel great with this fin. I love the natural arch - it improves the fit and the feel. Also the bottom + back of the foot strap helps keep them from slipping. I'm missing a major portion of the L-5 vertebrate since I was 6 years old and I have problems with my left shoulder. These fins never make my back hurt and they help relieve pressure on my shoulder as I get a better kick. Im 60 years old - and swimming is really the only exercise I can do besides yoga. Can't say how much love theses fins - they Rock!!!

  • 5/17/2016 Speedo Nemesis Swim Fins

4 Review Stars By FLEET Parent

My daughter trains 6 days a week competitively, and it's time to replace her old fins because she has grew out of her size. We have decided to give Speedo Nemesis Swim Fins a try. After the first night of workout. She likes the fact that she can finally kick her legs the way she would kick in a race, and the light weight really helped her to workout her legs without killing by dragging it in the water with traditional fins. Besides that, she likes the fins actually act as a buoy to keep her body position near the surface which is the correct way to perfect your techiques. Granted, she become the last swimmer touch the wall in her lane, which she usually is the first swimmer touch that wall. However, just remember the drill sets are not designed to be fast, but to be accurate.

This is what I found online to compare the traditional fins vs. short fins.

A Fin is a fin….right? Wrong. Today fins come in all different shapes, styles, and lengths with each fin model creating a different type of training. At a broader level, one could break the fin world down between short fins and long fins.

Long fins are great for beginner swimmers as the long blade rewards the swimmer with easy forward propulsion and raises the hips to the surface. However, these long fins make it difficult to replicate the type of quick kick you will use when racing. While some people like the longer “snorkeling” fins which make it is easier to swim, many coaches and swimmers prefer something more swimming-specific. This led to the development of the first short-bladed fins, the FINIS Zoomers®, over 15 years ago.

Unlike long fins, the short bladed fins allow your legs to cycle fast enough to keep up with a normal arm stroke rate and still maintain a 6 beat kick. By reducing the length of the blade and positioning it at the correct angle, the legs and feet mimic a natural swimming kick. As a result the swimmer can build true swimming-specific leg strength and hit a race tempo, all without fatiguing prematurely.

There ultimately is no right and wrong fin; you just need to determine what you want to accomplish. If you are training to build leg muscle, increase your flexibility, and be able to maintain a swimming-specific stroke, then short blade fins are the way to go (we obviously recommend any one of the short fins). But if you are out for a leisure swim and just want to watch the fishes go by beneath you, then long fins will probably be your preference.

  • 9/19/2018 Great training fin!

5 Review Stars By Jim W

Fin works to develop stingers legs on various strokes. Nice and compact so does not greatly increase bulk in gear bag.

Decided to try the new fins for my son who is a competitive swimmer and trains 6 days a week.  His feedback is that they feel great underwater but he doesn't like them for kick board sets.  Not enough propulsion on the water surface kicks.  Says he would've preferred the ordinary plain fins.

  • 9/18/2014 Great fun for a solid core workout.

    5 Review Stars By Robb

I swam competitively for 9 years, and this is a very comfortable fin. The variation in length from one side to the other will turn your toes in, and the push back in the water will increase ankle flexibility. Great for getting quickly to the burn in training. I was worried they would be tight in the toe area, but that is not an issue at all.

  • 4/24/2018 great training tool

    4 Review Stars By Cook

I use these to add resistance to my legs and core training since I can no longer run or squat heavy. this is my second pair my first pair lasted about seven months which was still better then I got from traditional burner fins. The only issue I had was the back strap broke on one of my Nemesis, I hope that they can be reinforced.

  • 9/20/2014 very unique fins

    4 Review Stars By ilovetoswim

So I was looking for some training fins to strengthen my kick.  I have a weak kick.  I knew the training ones made by Finis are very well liked to do just that.  Once I read about the theory behind these I thought worth trying.  I like them.  Although, they dont give the same type of resistance which does not quite give your legs the same type of workout.  Your kick has to change to more of a diving kick which defeats the purpose of them used for "training"  Otherwise, they are light and a whole lot of fun.  One thing they did get absolutely right it how they fit on your foot.  It that way they are so much better that any of the others.  In the end, fun, light, floats, very good fit.  Not quite a "training" fin and not quite a diving fin.
