The feel of the polypropylene/Lycra fabric is wonderful. Silky smooth but also a bit rubbery. The seam up the back makes for a close fit there, you'll never feel any part of this suit "flapping" as you swim. The fabric is stretchy, but harder to stretch than a normal nylon/Lycra suit, due to the high proportion of Lycra.
But do recognize that it is designed as a competition suit, not a practice suit. So sizing is snug, to say the least. Like any Speedo suit, the sizing is true to the circumference of your waist where the suit would sit -- about four finger widths below your navel. (Ignore your "vanity sized" pants size, most men's pants are larger than they claim!) I measure 34, wear 33 Levi's, and the 34 is comfortably snug. A 36 fits more like other Speedo briefs with Lycra. Size up for recreational swimming, but don't expect long life with the high Lycra content.
If you follow the Speedo Aquablade sizing guide and wear a suit two inches smaller than your waist size, you will have a "competition tight" fit. A bit of work to get over your thighs. So snug that you can't ignore it. Everything compressed. Not for the vain or modest, if you have any body fat you'll have a muffin top, and there may be some gapping in the crotch.
