Basically the sound quality is very good, its the greatest thing since nutella. So when you doin laps, I think it motivates you to go faster and farther, bc your listening to your music, and it makes you feel happy inside.

As to How to use it...you are much better off taking technical instruction from the Sony Corporation. WHAT I use my Sony MP3 player for is way more important. I use it to swim those laps that have saved my life. Had I not had inspiration from Rock & Roll, Blues and yes, some Country...I would probably be 40 pounds up due to forced abandonment of walking/running exercise. (knee issues) I'm still figuring out better ways to manipulate while swimming, but as far as I can tell the new model is easier to use and I hope as durable as the previous modle.

Good fit. Need to wear cap to keep in place at faster speeds to hear. Light weight and well designed.

Stay away if you use a MAC. Not easy to use. Returning it tomorrow after spending hours trying to transfer files.
