The shoe itself is true to size, and made from good material, doesn't feel like anything will tear or rip out after walking only a mile. The problem comes in that the straps don't really hold your foot in place to keep it from moving off the side of the insole. This wouldn't be too bad if the insole wasn't also made from a material that gets super slippy when wet, meaning this isn't the best for taking on the beach or poolside.
