    Not worth the $$. Concept: 5; Implementation: 1

    OK, I *really* wanted to like this. It looks novel. I watched videos. I am a toy junkie swimmer of 40 years who hates the monotony of the pool in winter (as an open-water swimmer all summer). So, I finally broke down and bought it on sale. I have a tried a ton of products from various manufacturers. So, believe me when I say: Please. don't. waste. your. money.

    It is a monofin with an ankle (and knee and calf) strap. I have a monofin from Finis, and then a neoprene ankle strap from Sporti. Honestly? If you are worried about your knee width, just buy a BIGGER strap. As an experienced swimmer, it is no better or worse than any other monofin. I didn't feel faster, more aerobic, or more connected to my core, as claimed. In fact, I was too distracted by the fact it didn't want to stay on. Pray, continue, gentle reader...

    Therein lies the problem: the top strap by your knees fits fine. The calf and ankle strap are WAY too big. I am not a big person. But I bet they'd be too big for Michael Phelps. Heck, I'd bet they'd be too big for Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of the Keys at Hogwarts. So now, being a sewer (thankfully), I am going to have to try to create something to keep this on my legs...which means more $$ spent--and I got this on sale, thankfully.

    And you know that raw spot(s) all monofins seem to give you on your toes? Yep. Got them with this. OK, I admit: I had it on wrong at first, so the padding *does* seem to help. But it is a big piece of plastic, so if you get OFF the…
