Ordered a 30 and fits perfectly. I wear a 30 or 31 pant depending on cut. I since ordered a second Marilyn in another coloration. Initially when I saw them I was concerned about having no elastic for adjustable fit, however, the front tie works wonderfully to adjust the waist. The fabric drapes and is especially nice. Another bonus I don't remember from the description is a Velcro fly closure which makes on and off easy. Finally, the shorter inseam is perfect for what I wanted. Not a speedo but certainly not the boardshort look I don't like.
