I just received these in the Hortencia design (pink insert version) and must report that they feel very hot when on.Yes, the fabric is smooth.I have a 34" hip and the XS fit snug and not as stretchy as some materials.The waist is a nice midrise and does not feel like they would slip down when sitting or bending.One leg (right leg - with more print design) is at least 1" shorter than the other.The design does look fashionably athletic and sporty.Also, they are definitely opaque, so nothing can be seen through them when bending.Ultimately, they are too hot for the climate where I live, so I am returning them.
