  • 2/15/2016 Amazing Feel, Great Quality, Awesome look.

    4 Review Stars By Garrett

So to start off, I was looking for a reasonably priced tech suit that would still repel water and give good compression in the right areas. I couldn't spend 350 bucks, I was willing to part with 200. The tech suit must be able to allow movement in the breaststroke, but still have the compression needed in the free (At state I swam the 200 free and the 100 breast). I came upon a great deal for this suit and decided to buy it. The shipping was fast, but the box came a little bit battered. At first look I almost died when I saw how small the suit was, so I took it to my bedroom, locked the door, and had a silent, 15 minute battle trying to get the suit above my hips. After I beat the suit into submission it was amazing!

The first things I noticed were:
Compression- you feel locked into place
Power- bending over and moving around I could feel the tension building up in the seams and I could feel the power the suit would give off the wall.
Water resistance- I pored some water onto it and it all bounced off.

    At state:
The first thing I swam was the 200. The suit was great until the later half when the suit became soaked through. Ended up gaining time, though it probably wasn't the suits fault.
The next day was just as hard to put on so there was not much loss in compression.
On the 200 relay I ended up dropping almost 2 seconds, giving me the impression that this suit was a sprinter.
On the 100 breast I dropped a second and meddled. The suit had great mobility and put a lot of power into the kick.
The 400 relay, went the same way, dropped 3 seconds.
Looking at the results I could say that the suit was great for sprinting, but that is just the way it worked for me. Some of the reviews said that the suit falls apart easy, but mine lasted all the way through and will probably go through another meet too as long as I warm up in a different suit and baby it (Though I did notice the way the seams had stretched out the first time I put it on). The water  repellency is adequate. Compression is where it shines though. In the end this suit is amazing, and is probably worth 50 dollars more, though it lacks in water repellency, the placement of the seams, the extremely thin fabric, the grip tape, and compression makes you feel like you are rocketing through the water and never need to stop. I will probably but another one.

After using this suit for only two races, the suit was coming apart at the seams.  Very poor quality construction.

  • 8/5/2013 One huge flaw

4 Review Stars By Dean L

To start off, everything I say is based off of the Speedo LZR Pro, which I feel is an affordable and consistent suit that most people have experienced.

In terms of compression, the bonded seams and European sizing chart make this suit wonderfully tight and fitting. I wear a size 30 training suit and a 24 LZR Pro, and took a lot of effort getting into a size 28 Liquid Fire. One or two sizes down from your normal training suit size should be enough with this suit.

This suit also has a great price, bonded seams for just a bit more more than a LZR Pro. It's achillies heel is it's water repellency - or lack thereof. Compared to my LZR Pro, which beads water like no tomorrow and was only half-saturated after 5 minutes in my sink, this suit was soaked through and through after only 2. This is what is keeping this suit from having the absolute best price-value ratio on the market.

Still, a solid buy for what you get. Despite the water repellency issue, this suit performs very well.
