I am 5''3", 140 lbs, and ordered a size 36. I think I could have gotten away with a size 34, but I don''t think I would have been comfortable with any less coverage on the butt. This suit seems like it''s cut for someone with a longer torso. There is just a bit of extra fabric under/on the sides of my chest, but the straps are not too loose. I think I am going to sew the straps a little tighter in order to reduce the extra fabric. Otherwise, it fits good and is super pretty! I''ve gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Love the patterns and styles from funkita, but they aren’t really cut for people over 5’11, unless you have a large chest/waist. I contacted Funkita and asked them about suit length and they said they were cut similarly to a Speedo in length. So I ordered a 36 (same as I normally wear in Speedo) based on their recommendations. Turns out the Australian size 36 is much wider than an American size 36. The suit is super pretty and I loved the pattern and the back, but it had huge air pockets under the chest and at the waist and the straps were super loose. This suit would fill up with water and ballooon while doing laps and flip turns so I can’t keep it. I’m 145lbs and 6’ tall, but I have a 34B chest and 39” hips. I need the suit in size 36 for length or it wouldn’t cover my chest. However the waist and chest are cut really wide for a 36. Sad to return it because it’s the coolest back I’ve ever seen in a practice suit. The material is super soft - doesn’t even feel like polyester.
