I like these are super soft and comfortable and that the material is thick enough where my underwear don't show (the material seemed a thin when I took it out of packaging but wearing them, they hold everything in place). I like that the waistband sits above your belly button and it provides a great aesthetic and comfortability to your workout or if you are just wanting to wear these around the house. I'm currently in the process of losing weight in the belly and these shorts hide any "belly pudge" you're currently planning to lose (they go over the belly). I would say that these are snug, but not tight so they don't accentuate anything you don't want showing, but still are snug to show off any curves you might have (my body type is straight but it still makes me look like I have curves)
