When training, I use a snorkel and keep my head underwater for up to an hour. Using a nose clip was often both inconvenient and sometimes painful. Additionally, after 1/2 an hour I would get pain in the eyes (I assume from the oxygen in the air in the chambers being absorbed through the conjunctival membrane, creating a negative suction.) This mask gets rid of the need for a nose clip and there is no eye pain/discomfort. The only draw back is occasional fogging. There is a different mask which attempts to prevent fogging, but it might reinstitute the eye discomfort. The only way to find out will be to try the other mask.
