The tapered fit is great. As advertised, the fabric traps an air layer next to the skin and keeps the wearer dry and comfortable in cold weather. With no other layers, I've been comfortable on my runs at temperatures of about 35 degrees F. If you need pockets, however, this is not your shirt.
